As warmer weather fast approaches, don’t wait until spring to have work done in your attic. Winter is the best season to have an HVAC job completed in your attic. An attic in the summer can get well over 130 degrees and is often at least 30+ degrees hotter than the outdoor temperature. This difference in temperature is a big deal when you factor in how long on average an installer will be subjected to these hot temperatures. Not only can these temperatures pose a health risk, but they also interrupt the productivity of the installers.
- In the range of 90˚ and 105˚F (32˚ and 40˚C), you can experience heat cramps and exhaustion.
- Between 105˚ and 130˚F (40˚ and 54˚C), heat exhaustion is more likely.
- An environmental temperature over 130˚F (54˚C) often leads to heatstroke.
- At around 90 degrees, any task that requires a lot of mental effort will start to be much harder to pull off.
